1. Who we are

This policy explains how BDP Realty, LLC, which owns and operates TokenRents ("TokenRents," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use TokenRents. It should be read with our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), name, profile photo, and passkey or two-factor settings.
• Property and lease information: property addresses, unit details, photos, lease terms, charges, and invoices.
• Payment information: payment amounts, fees, and status. Card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by TokenRents.
• Usage information: IP address, browser type, and login activity, used for security and to keep the service working.

3. How we use information

• To provide the service: billing rent, processing payments, and sending receipts and reminders.
• To secure accounts and prevent fraud.
• To communicate with you about your account and changes to the service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Landlords and renters on the same lease, as needed to bill and pay rent.
• Service providers who help us run TokenRents, including Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and our cloud hosting and file storage providers.
• Authorities, when required by law.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep account and payment records while your account is open and for 3 years after it is closed, unless a longer period is required by law. After that, we delete or anonymize them.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your profile at any time. You may ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@tokenrents.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may keep records we are required to keep by law, such as payment records. Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and optional two-factor authentication and passkeys. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

TokenRents is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you before they take effect.
